Privacy
Mooie Focus is a pomodoro timer for iOS that can control your Philips Hue lights. This page covers two things separately so you can see exactly what each one does: the iOS app and this marketing website. They have different privacy postures and we don't want them to blur together.
Part 1 — The Mooie Focus app
The app is local-first. Everything you do in Mooie Focus stays on your device unless you explicitly configure otherwise.
- No account, no cloud. Mooie Focus has no sign-up, no login, no server-side storage. Session history, preferences, and Hue configuration are stored only on your device.
- Hue integration runs over your local network. When Mooie Focus controls your lights, it talks directly to your Hue bridge on your home WiFi. Those calls never leave your LAN and we never see them.
- Optional webhook is yours to configure. If you set a webhook URL in settings, Mooie Focus will POST a short session summary to that URL at the end of each session. If you don't set one, nothing is posted. The URL and what receives the data are entirely your responsibility.
- Crash reporting is Apple's, not ours. If you've opted in to share crash data with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may transmit anonymized crash reports. We never receive those reports directly — we only see aggregated stability data in App Store Connect.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels. The app contains no third-party SDKs for advertising or analytics. There is no in-app tracking of any kind.
Part 2 — This website
The marketing website (the one you're reading) is a separate surface. It uses a small amount of analytics so we know whether anyone is actually finding it.
- Google Analytics 4. The site uses Google Analytics to count visitors and understand traffic patterns (which pages are visited, where visitors come from, what device they're on). GA4 records a pseudonymous client identifier, IP address (Google truncates the last octet), and standard page-view metadata. We don't call this "anonymous" — it's pseudonymous traffic data behind your consent.
- Consent first. GA is loaded only after you accept the cookie banner. Until you accept, the GA snippet is not present on the page and no cookies are set on your behalf. You can decline and continue browsing normally.
- Contact form, forwarded by email. The support page has a contact form with three fields: name (optional), email (optional), and message. When you submit, the fields are POSTed to a third-party endpoint on mooie.dev which forwards the contents by email to support@mooie.dev. The submission is used only to respond to your inquiry; this site doesn't store form submissions of its own. A mailto: link is offered alongside the form for users who prefer their own email client.
- No advertising trackers. The site loads no third-party advertising or remarketing pixels.
Your rights
If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you rights over your personal data (e.g. the EU, UK, or California), you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because the app stores nothing remotely and the website's analytics is pseudonymous, in practice the only data we may hold about you is whatever you've sent us by email. To make a request, write to support@mooie.dev.
Data controller
The data controller for this site and the Mooie Focus app is Neural Grain LLC, operator of mooie.dev. Privacy questions and rights requests: support@mooie.dev.
Changes
If we change how Mooie Focus or this site handles data, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be called out in the next app release notes.
